Welcome! Please Read Before Posting.

This site has been set up for local people to converse about environmental issues.  Have a look round. We hope you will be interested enough to sign-up and contribute your thoughts. Your ideas may inspire others to join in, or even take action!

Do you live or work within The Dartmouth Cluster? We would like to know how people in this area are responding to the environmental issues that confront us all.  Our County and District Councils have declared Climate and Biodiversity Emergencies. Sustainable Blackawton and Sustainable Dittisham are two local groups that have already been established to tackle the issues. Great work!  Dartmouth Green Partnership has had “sustainable environmental improvements” as one of their “Purposes” for some years, but we are sure that more is happening that we don’t know about. We'd like you to hear how individuals, organizations and businesses are responding to these Emergencies in this corner of South Devon.

Residents are making changes, great and small - so let’s hear about them. From changing diet to changing cars; from flying less to encouraging wildlife in your garden; from changing shopping habits to going on beach-cleaning outings. Let us know how you are helping, and also how you would like to help.

Here’s something to think about: Dartmouth’s urban neighbours - Torbay, Kingsbridge and Totnes – all have Action Plans to tackle these environmental emergencies, but Dartmouth does not have one. Why are Dartmouthians leaving it up to others?

The daffs logo roundel. Have you seen our roundel? Designed by local artist Simon Drew (Thank you Simon), we are hoping people in the Dartmouth Cluster will want to display the roundel in their homes, their shops, businesses, homes and vehicles. Displaying the roundel shows the world that you are concerned about the environment and that you are willing to join others in contributing to a sustainable future.
